Spirited Southern Decadence Events Are All About Partying In New Orleans, LA

What started 48 years ago as a simple going-away party, Southern Decadence is now the largest annual LGBT event in New Orleans. Known as the "Gay Mardi Gras", expect festivities galore beginning the day before Labor Day. Pop in and out of 24-hour gay bars and nightclubs packed with high energy and pulsating music for a total of six days. The walking parade, just one mile from our French Quarter hotel, kicks off the day before Labor Day at 2pm, starts near Decatur and Barracks Streets, and ends near Bourbon and Dumaine Streets. Prepare to don your lavish and extravagant costumes for a chance to win a contest. When looking for where to stay for Southern Decadence, our hotel is within walking distance to all the action.
