Mahalia Jackson, a legendary gospel singer, sang along with Eureka Brass Band followed by Duke Ellington in 1970 during a parade at the Louisiana Heritage Fair of what is now known as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. This 10-day event welcomes thousands of visitors each year to experience the best of music on multiple stages, traditional Louisiana food, and artistic craftsmanship. Hear everything from jazz and R&B to zydeco, Afro-Caribbean, Latin, rap, rock, and country.
