Crowne Plaza New Orleans Hotel Reviews

You step in the doors and the lobby is very relaxing, the staff at the desk are kind and helpful. Our room was nice, king bed, clean, comfortable bed, no view. Bathroom was kind of tired but it was clean. Very quite on our floor which is so nice after walking around the French Quarter. Which is by the way right out the door. The concierge was quite helpful finding a restaurant one night. The first night we had a private dinner function and the food was outstanding. Bourbon House is a lovely restaurant right beside the hotel. I would recommend the Astor Crowne Plaza to anyone going to New Orleans

Hotel room was clean. The experience here was great. We will definitely be back to stay here. It was close and convenient to everything. Bar and restaurant down stairs was fabulous. Definitely a hotel to re-visit

Located at the corner of Canal and Bourbon = door is open for late nights and sights in the French Quarter! Staff were accommodating and professional. Room was clean, fresh, complete with very comfy beds. Windows in room very dirty but what does one expect at this time of year? Our meeting room was one of many in service that day and staff seemed overrun for short periods; however, the in-room snacks and lunch more than made up for this - excellent

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Was here for a conference. Very close to the French Quarter. Short walk to the Mississippi. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are rooms that have a nice view of the French Quarter

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza. I had a few reservations ahead of our trip, having read about long queues at check-in and unsavoury characters around the entrance, but neither of these proved to be a concern. We arrived on a Saturday evening and waited around 10 minutes to check in, and, while there were some undesirables close to the Canal Street entrance, there was always plenty of staff around, so we never felt unsafe. Location was unbeatable – right at the corner of Bourbon and Canal – perfect for exploring the French Quarter on foot, or hopping on a street car to explore other districts. The rooms were clean and spacious with good amenities including an in-room safe. We were overlooking Canal Street, on a high floor, and heard very little noise. Our only grumble was the beds, which were very hard, but plenty of walking (and maybe a beer or two!) ensured we slept regardless. We’d stay here again for the location alone
