Nice hotel

This hotel was just fine for our weekend getaway to New Orleans. It was clean, and the furnishing were fine. Not the fanciest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but I would stay here again. Location was perfect. We didn’t bring a car and never needed one except for hopping on the streetcar one day to visit Magazine Street. All in all I say a great deal! Our room was not ready when we arrived, but it didn’t bother us. We just checked our bags and hit the town. We had lunch in the restaurant downstairs one day and it was great! The Palace Cafe a few doors down was wonderful for breakfast. Definitely check it out

Great Location, but GREATLY overrated

I have stayed here twice now. The location is perfect. The staff is very friendly. The Bourbon House restaurant downstairs is fantastic, and it is an absolutely beautiful atrium. However, this last say we had for a Saints/Pelicans weekend left so much to be desired it was unbelievable. 1- We reserved a king bed- we settled for a double for the same price. Not the end of the world, but they could have at least planned. 2- There was a dirty plate left outside our room for pretty much our entire stay. 3- The shower would not drain and would not get hot. It was around 40 degrees outside and we could not even get hot water. Pretty ridiculous. 4- We had to basically beg for towels. 5- We tried to have breakfast downstairs before the Saints/Panthers game, but we could not even get our order taken because of only one person working. I have worked in restaurants for over 9 years, and I even got her attention to say to make sure she didn't forget us, but people were able to walk right up to the bar and place orders while we continued to sit unattended to. We were able to walk down the street to Daisy Dukes and get a great breakast! 6- Easily the hardest beds I have ever slept on in a hotel. I understand there are different preferences, and I am very un picky usually about a bed, but it so hard to the point it hurt my back. 7- In quite possibly the biggest ridiculous of all was the situation with valet parking. Due to the location, the need for valet is obvious. However, when we were ready to leave on Monday, we were told there was a "shuttle" coming while we stood in the rain with around 20-30 other guests who were also trying to leave. We finally decided to take a taxi to the garage. The parking attendants were at least trying, but they were confused about where our car was, as there was very little communication on how the car was to be found. This cost us a good 45 minutes that we lost at the World War II museum. Pretty ridiculous for the amount of money we paid

Great location, horrid water system

This is a place to be in the middle of all the action! But... we did not have hot water for two days and we were moved into a different after constantly complaining and literally having to take the water down to the front desk. Great sized rooms. Our view was of a dirty external window and air ducts, I was told there was no shuttle when arriving but told I had a shuttle upon departure very confusing. The hotel downstairs is beautiful and the decorations were great

Excellent Hotel, Staff and Location

Wanted to first thank Enock at the front desk reception who made our stay very welcoming!! We booked 3 rooms and were there from 12/26 to 1/1. We checked in early but our rooms were not ready. Enock took time and explained the hotel layout, where we could checkin our bags and go and freshen up too. Then when our rooms were ready they called us too. Every day he was there from 11am to 11pm with a smile on his face and always took the time to ask us if we needed anything (when he was not helping other customers). We had kids with us and he suggested safe places to go to if needed. Gem of a person. Am glad that he is on your staff!! Do what u can to retain talent !!. Being a great hotel the only thing we missed was a microwave and fridge in the rooms. Location was top notch - just walk out and your either on canal or bourbon street!! i did not expect it to be so close - which gave me more time to party at nite n get back safely!! will surely stay here again
